Ocean Modules ROVs

No other inspection class remotely-operated vehicle has the ability to rotate 360° around any axis. The V8 range of vehicles from Ocean Modules can be operated at any angle, and in any direction, allowing it to operate in tricky spaces, in a manner much more natural to the operator. This allows an operator to conduct sonar and video inspections following the profile of sea floor, ship hull or subsea structure.

Ocean Modules V8 Offshore ROV

The V8 Offshore represents a quantum leap forward for the underwater industry. Taking the concepts that made the V8 Sii a success such as modularity and the 360° control system one step further, adding more power, a 3000 meter depth rating, modular peripheral integration, redundancy, remote software updates and high-speed data communication, has resulted in truly third-generation ROV technology. Every part of the V8 Offshore ROV, from the control system and data interfaces to the physical connectors, junction boxes and buoyancy foam, has been carefully designed to provide maximum potential for expansion.

Ocean Modules V8 Sii ROV

The V8 Sii is the original six degrees of freedom ROV and still, seven years later, the only ROV (besides the V8 Offshore) with a control system that allows unlimited pitch and roll through a full 360 degrees with maintained platform stability. The capability to rotate 360 degrees in any dimension without losing stability has proved tremendously advantageous for sonar and video inspections as it allows the profile of sea floor, ship hull or subsea structure to be followed regardless of angle. The small size and significant power of the V8 Sii make it ideal for use in a wide range of tasks.

Ocean Modules V4 ROV

The V4 is a perfect compromise between size and power. It is small enough to operate in confined spaces where standard-sized inspection class vehicles will not fit, but with its full-size thrusters still powerful enough to operate quickly in environments that preclude the use of micro ROVs. The weight to thrust ratio is impressive regardless if the V4 is compared to inspection class ROVs or micro ROVs.
