ROV Industry Training Course.
QSTAR SLU ROV Division is a IMCA Training Stablishment Member. QSTAR use competence based training to deliver more than the minimum IMCA syllabus for all our ROV Pilot Technician Courses.
ROV Familiarization Basic Introductory Module
Course duration: 3 days
Course Content: Class Room Training, Simulator & Pool Practical training.
ROV: AC-100 ROV
Pre-requisites: Available on request
Introductory Module–IMCA have recommended in their document R002
"It is recommended that new personnel to the ROV industry attend an introductory module before their first trip offshore.
ROV Pilot Technician Grade II
Course duration: 3 Weeks
Course Content: Class Room Training, Simulator, Pool & ROV Offshore Practical training.
Pre- requisites: Available on request
ROV Pilot Technician Course for new entrants to the ROV industry . Built upon the IMCA guidelines (IMCA C005) document position R04, the Commercial ROV Pilot Tech II course delivers training on all the Industry standard competencies and goes further with additional technical competencies. Also includes extra Hydraulics / Electrical / Sonar / Manipulator training etc.
The Course content is in line with guidance documents IMCA R002, R004, R010 and C005
ROV Pilot Technician Grade I
Course duration: 4 Weeks
Course Content: Class Room Training, Simulator & Offshore Practical training.
ROV: Work Class
Pre- requisites: Available on request
In the ROV Pilot Tecnician Grade I course delivers abilities as:
Carry out arrange of manipulator activities using 5 or 7 function manipulator, navigate and ROVs in a range of environmental conditions utilizes all available navigation aids, carry out electrical & mechanical umbilical/Tether terminations, Fiber Optics, etc.
The Course content is in line with guidance documents IMCA C005 & R03.
Work Class ROV Triton XL,XLS
Course duration: 5 days
Course Content: Class Room Training, Simulator & Practical training
ROV: TRITON XLS
Pre- requisites: Available on request
The courses cover technical descriptions of all aspects of the system, including design, operations, maintenance & system expansion.
The full TXLX/R Simulator is available for trainees.
Custom courses for different tooling/vehicles & application can also be provided.
ROV Supervisor
Course duration: 11 days
Course Content: Class Room Training
Pre- requisites: Available on request
This course is for delegates already working in the ROV industry who are getting close to wanting to offer supervisory skills. It covers IMCA recommendations within 2 modules including training on R01 competences.
QSTAR are IMCA members and offer the IMCA syllabus for all our ROV Pilot Technician Courses.
QST1001 Hydraulics, Electronics, Electricity & High Voltage
Course duration: 10 days aprox. (64 hours)
Course Content: Class Room & Practical Training

ROV Premium Course
Course duration: 7 Weeks
Course Content: Class Room Training, Simulator, Pool & Offshore ROV Practical training.
